Molded in the tradition of other amazing vocal groups such as Manhattan Transfer and New York Voices, 6 Miles Ahead has garnered respect as Utah's premier professional vocal jazz ensemble. The group electrifies audiences with their arrangements of everything from traditional jazz, to pop, Bach, and the Beatles.

They debuted with a first place finish at the prestigious Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and have since appeared at various venues across the northwest, performing alongside such greats as Joe Beck, Matt Wilson, Darmon Meader, Brandon Fields, Kirby Shaw, and Lionel Cordew among others.
